Background Check Day 1- Blending

Online Card Class: Background Check Day 1

Ink Blending and Stencil Reactions

I combined two techniques and used this photo below from my recent vacation as my inspiration for this card background. More to follow with this beauty.

Online Card Class- Stretch your Dies- Day 3

Today's homework is from Day 3,  a die creates a window for an interactive card. I ended up securing the door open and I am not sure why I did that- but it works!
Here is my Heartfelt Thank you card.

And this is the inside

This was lots of fun and I think I will be making more of these window type cards.

Online card class- Stretch your dies- Day 1

It is that time once again for the Online Card Classes with Kristina and Jennifer and Friends. I absolutely love these classes.

Today's homework is from Day 1- Word Dies to create a background.

I do not have any word dies but I have a Cricut so I cut the phrase many thanks many times to create a white on white background. I stamped a bouquet of flowers and coloured with Distress Inks and adhered to the card front using pop dots. Finishing touches were gems and pearls of course :)

Retro Sketch meets Colour Q

Colour Q Challenge #281

                                             retrosketch

I do not have Stampin' Up paper or inks so tried my best to match from my stash.

For   SU                                                              I used Distress Inks
Wisteria Wonder                                                 Shaded Lilac
Peach Parfait                                                       Dried Marigold
Certainly Celery                                                  Peeled Paint and Broken China
Cool Caribbean                                                   Broken China
Neutral                                                                Vintage Photo

Stamps are:
Hot Air Balloon from Inky Antics
make a wish from Recollections
Celebrate from WPlus9- Strictly Sentiments

I made my own cloud stencil from piece of acetate. I Like it. The little critters are popped up on the card using pop dots to give them the impression of them floating in the air. I clear embossed the balloon give it bit of dimension.

Fusion First Anniversary Celebration Challenge

I saw this challenge from Fusion Card Challenge and thought I would like to give this one a try. I chose to work the colour scheme rather than the sketch.

I still have not mastered how to take a great photo of my card creations but I will keep trying.

This card was created using the following supplies:

Inks: Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks
         Jet Black Archival Ink
Stamps: Feel Better from Studio G and Friend from Wplus9 Fanciful Feathers
Dies: Chrysanthemum from Memory Box and Foliage Frame from Wplus9
Paper: Canson 96lb Bristol, Gold foil paper from Dollar Tree, black and 110lb ivory cardstock from Recollections.
